Pilates

Pilates is one of the fastest growing forms of exercise, because people have found that it is safe and effective, and nearly everyonecan practice it!  The Pilates method involves a series of integrated exercises geared to help you achieve optimal alignment and posture. Work is done on specialized equipment that adds resistance to your workout to increase muscle tone and bone density while enhancing coordination and flexibility.

Athletes and non-athletesalike will grow and stabilize through the continuous practice of Pilates.  For athletes, we are able to create specific work-outs that strengthen the body overall to decrease injury and increase performance.  For non-athletes, we offer the opportunity to become stable and strong in your body.  Becasue we also practice Physical Therapy at Bria, we are able to offer clients Physical Therapy based Pilates techniques - taking great care not to further injure, but to strengthen.

Pilates is for men and women equally.  Many men will find that they are able to strengthen their core - creating leaner muscle and better forma nd posture.  Pilates is a great additional work-out to your regular cardio routines.  Women find the results rewarding as well, working on breathing technique, posture, and getting those oh so desired flat abs!  Bria also offers instruction by Stott instructors trained in pre and post-partum exerise, so you are in safe hands while building your strength for childbirth or getting ourself back into shape once your bundle of joy is here.

Pilates is a very precise, attention driven practice of exercise that will create a strong body from the inside out.  Bria offers the best instructors to help be sure that you are correctly exercising, rather than moving through each exercise so quickly that form is overlooked and injuries can occur.  You will be thrilled with the results!

Semi Privates Pilates

Semi private sessions allow the opportunity to work with one other person. We can match you with another client who has similar health goals, or you can invite a friend or partner to join you.

Group Reformer Pilates
Specialized Pilates work outs incorporating reformers, wall springs, mat and small equipment. Classes are limited to 6 students to maximize individual attention. All students must be fit, injury free and attend one private Pilates session or mat intro series prior to attending Group Reformer Pilates.

Mat Classes
Our classes integrate the use of various props and you will do something different each class.  We use BOSU balls, bands, and medicine balls to keep each class challenging and work a number of muscle groups each session. 

Physical Therapy

For those who are not ready for Pilates, we offer specialized physical therapy that will get you on your feet in no time. 

The Bria method of physical therapy sees full and functional movement as the heart of what it means to be healthy. Physical therapy is concerned with identifying and maximizing movement potential, within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. It involves the interaction between physical clients, families and care givers, in a process of assessing movement potential and in establishing agreed upon goals and objectives using knowledge and skills such as range of motion tests, postural assesments and manual therapy, unique to physical therapists.

Personal Training

Each personal training session is individualized and regardless of someone's fitness level, clients achieve a higher level of health and strength. Personal training can focus on cardio-conditioning, muscle-conditioning, flexibility, nutrition or a combination of all of these; workouts with a trainer can happen within the studio or outdoors. Personal Training provides 10 times more results then working out alone at a gym. At Bria, clients receive regular education, support and guidance. Our trainers hold each individual accountable while providing safety, variety and effectiveness. We incorporate the use of the Pilates machines, as well as medicine balls, BOSU trainers, bands, weights, and mats to create the perfect workout for your goals.


Integration benefits

It is easy to integrate Physical Therapy, Personal Training and Pilates at Bria because our instructors are cross trained in two or more fitness techniques. Clients’ individual health progress is shared between instructors in order to enhance overall fitness and safety in movement. This is unique to our studio and our flexible packages allow you to sample each discipline.
